Crime Prevention Email Community!   The Crime Prevention Email Community is a decentralized approach in getting information out to all of its members. The key points of the approach are as follows:   The program coordinator developes an initial group email list of individuals (members) wanting to join the community.   That list is sent to the members, and each member will keep this list as a group list in his or her respective email systems. This will allow a member to send to all members.   When a member wants to communicate issues regarding crime prevention, in particular suspicious activities or actual occurrences, he or she will send that information to all members.  This way the information gets to all parties very quickly, which is a key deterrent to crime.   The program coordinator will email all the members information that is received from the police, as well as other community watch material.   Individuals that want to join or be removed from the list may do so by sending an email with his or her name and a street address.  The name and street address are for verification only and will not be part of the group email list.  Only your email address will be shown in the group email list.  The email address for joining and removal is dthoacp@msn.com .   If you have difficulty  with the link, simply go to where you normally send email and type in this email address.   The program coordinator will send email address revisions periodically to all members to update their group list.  To protect the integrity of the master group list, the program coordinator will be the only one adding and removing members.     Remember, all members must be responsive in what they will be sending, and shall also maintain and keep current their group list.
